Note to GOP Re. Obamacare.

Just do it. Quit cold turkey. Market adjustment will be done and finished sooner. Uncertainty is what kills business and stalls progress, so don't drag it out. After eight years of Obama, you should be understanding that.

Cruising the ham bands, looking for a state I don't have (UT ND and AK), I hear a station and look it up with my handy shell script from the FCC site, and find invariably it's a man, except 4 times in a thousand.

Yet morse code is a musical skill, which women can do.

Last lookup, ZA1E, a guy named Dik in Albania. The rule even applies to foreign stations.

Where is the call for equality of the sexes in morse code.

Cloudy sky in Tucson. At least it isn't raining like California.

Lots of workmen coming in an out. No problem of exporting jobs there.

Using Home Advisor and so far no problem.

I understand the Women's March was so successful that now the Women are planning to go on strike for a day -- "A Day Without A Woman" -- as an encore. Maybe they can dit some dahs while they're watching the economy collapse? Early reaction has been entirely favorable, with many calling for a Week or even an entire Month Without a Woman.

Re: "A Day Without a Woman." Ladies, you do understand that "Lysistrata" is fiction, right?

Just commented on the commenters thread and then realized that last previous response was three hours earlier.

I have that feeling. (Not that we're really having a conversation anyway.)

"This is soapy water and I'm washing that lying filthy mouth..."

Melissa McCarthy as Sean Spicer using Super Shooter squirt-gun on a reporter.

Probably the funniest skit of the year, as the Macaroni from my supper fell out of mouth, so I could belly laugh.

Judge Robart’s brisk ruling contained almost no reasoning. By contrast, Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, of the Federal District Court in Boston issued a 21-page decision on Friday refusing to block the program and discussing the legal arguments in detail.

"No reason. I just like doing things like that."

Did I miss the Vlad ain't so Bad post?

I do remember Obama's admonition about the self-righteous Christian High Horse being a bit disturbing to some at alt-house. Oh well not a politician! Trump speaks his mind. Says what needs to be said.

Please let me know if I missed the spinning post and adoring comments. I've been away all day.

Hopefully good light is on the list of criteria re relocation. Sometimes this is overlooked, but that's foolishness.

If Madison light is acceptable, y'all can look forward to upgrading to crepuscular glory (depending on where you land.)

(Need for better proof reading)

"I have that feeling." should be "I hate that feeling."

rhhardin, if an angry and sullen person is tapping the key, is it morose code?

Two thumbs up.

I had to laugh, with contempt, that the media is having the vapors and beating up on Trump the most for his telling the truth, re: his desire to work with Putin. "We are not so innocent, and there are killers everywhere." The horror!

They fell all over themselves to demonize Putin as Satan incarnate and praise America as the essential, exceptional nation of the purest virtues. Are these people brain dead? They excuse the deaths of civilians in our wars as "accidents." In illegal wars of aggression we started, every death is a murder. We don't have people killed? Have they forgotten JFK's many failed attempts to assassinate Castro? The CIA has carried out or caused to have carried out assasinations. You'd think these grown men and women, professional reporters, had never paid the slightest attention to the real world around them.

If the Trump White House is as clever as they want us to think they are they would embrace the SNL Spicer skit and either have Spicer appear in McCarthy's next skit or invite her to the White House as the elder Bush did with Dana Carvey. There is some noise about running Al Franken for President. Minnesota senators have a pretty dismal record on that front.

I was listening this morning as Senator Brian Schatz read a book into the record about the complete failure of education in America.

He seemed to want to blame the nominee for the Secretary of Education of being unable to make America great again. Meanwhile he listed horror story after horror story about the last eight years, where current and past Secretary's ran the system into the ground.

I wish I could have been there and raised my hand to ask the question. Why are you deferring this task to some political appointee?

Why can't Congress fix it?

That little fucker pissed me off the longer he whimpered. I would have went up there and slapped some sense into the fucker. Took his fucking blanket and shit on it.

Do your job asshole!"

You want to fix education? The answer is less, not more. Get rid of the Department of Education. They educate no one. And get Congress out of the game too. We put men on the moon without both.

Re ACA: You want a welfare program, you need to call it a welfare program, and set it up as a welfare program.

I think Paul Ryan is Democrat Lite and they will screw it up as bad, or worse, than the Democrats did.

Hagar said...

And sell it as a welfare program. Don't try to diddle the voters. They'll get back at you.

South Vietnamese President Ngo Dinh Diem was also one of JFK's jobs via the CIA. This in a area, Cookie, where I agree with you. If we carry out such 'operations' we should avoid the hypocrisy we have repeatedly demonstrated regarding other nations.

Trump's campaign remarks about the when, where and why of military involvement were, I believe, well received by everyone but the GOPe and their military-industrial complex.

Take this as a compliment, Robert: the moment I heard Trump say that I thought of you.

Not while Paul Ryan is standing in for Mr. Obama.

Trump, blindsided again. (Maybe "street smarts" is overrated)
